Hi, I'm Ana,

I have a degree in Psychology in the area of Clinical Dynamics and a Master’s degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology from FPCE-UC. Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology, with a specialty in Psychotherapy, by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (CP nº 005248).
Throughout my career, I have tried to deepen my knowledge in the area of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, with special emphasis on specialized training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at FMUP and at the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology-SPPC (specialist member in specialized training).
My experience as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist has been developed in a private clinical context, focusing on the psychodynamic approach that seeks to understand the patient’s internal reality, considering the unique nature of their experiences, feelings, anxieties and conflicts.
Over the years, I have developed extensive experience in the area of child and youth protection and promotion, focusing my intervention on liaison with the Family and Juvenile Courts and on accompanying children, young people and families with histories marked by trauma and adversity, fostering the re-establishment of secure bonds and protective relational dynamics, as well as restorative and transformative experiences of psychic reality.
In my clinical practice, I seek a deep understanding of the patient, their history, circumstances and psychological suffering, in a commitment that stems from the therapeutic relationship, in a safe, welcoming, listening and authentic environment.
The therapeutic space is thus a place to meet, to reorganize emotional experiences and psychic transformation, enabling the resignification of lived experiences, in a process of self-knowledge and transformation.
